Chemical Etching; a metal manufacturing service? - Chemical etching is not a term many people associate with the production of metal products; in fact it is normally reserved for circuit board manufacture. The etching process can be thought to work in the same way for both process, just change the substrate for sheet metal. A few simple questions can normally determine if etching is something that applies to your company: Do you use any metal work in any of your products? Is any of this less than 1.5mm in thickness? Are these products based upon bespoke designs and not off-the shelf items? If you are involved in the design, use or purchasing of any metal products and can answer yes to the above, then there is a high probability that chemical etching is a service that would apply to you. Compact and mobile low power temperature sensor device with integrated GPS and GPRS - We are seeking a compact and mobile low power temperature sensor device with integrated GPS and GPRS. Battery life should be at least 7 days before recharging is required. Should also have an "airplane mode" i.e. will not transmit whilst on plane but should be able to store temperature readings whilst in this mode. This could possibly be done with a motion sensor and/or air pressure sensor. Should also be able to take and store temperature readings every 5-10 minutes for at least 7 days.
